직접 및 간접 수복 치과 치료에서의 생체 모방(Biomimetic) 개념과 술식

'생체 모방(Biomimetic)'이라는 용어는 생명(Bio)과 모방(Mimetic)의 합성어로, 자연계에 존재하는 우수한 기능과 구조를 모방하여 이를 공학 및 의학 분야에 적용하는 기술을 의미합니다. 이 개념이 치과 분야에 도입되면 '생체 모방 치의학(Biomimetic Dentistry)'이 되는데, 이는 치아 고유의 생체 역학적 특성과 구조를 모방하여 치아를 수복하고자 하는 접근 방식입니다. 접착 치의학의 비약적인 발전과 함께 생체 모방 치의학 또한 지속적으로 진화하고 있으며, 이를 통해 더욱 보존적이고 생물학적으로 조화로운 수복 치료가 가능해졌습니다. 이번 발표에서는 접착 원리와 자연 치아의 생체 역학적 거동을 통합적으로 고려하여, 직접 및 간접 수복 술식에 적용되는 저만의 생체 모방 치의학 임상 개념을 소개하고자 합니다.

Biomimetic Concepts and Techniques in Direct & Indirect Restorative Dentistry

The term “Biomimetic” is derived from the combination of Bio (life) and Mimetic (imitation), referring to technologies that replicate the superior functions and structures found in nature and apply them to engineering and medical fields. When this concept is adapted to dentistry, it becomes Biomimetic Dentistry—an approach that seeks to restore teeth by mimicking their natural biomechanics and structure. With the remarkable advancement of adhesive dentistry, Biomimetic Dentistry continues to evolve, allowing more conservative and biologically harmonious restorations. In this presentation, I will introduce my clinical concept of Biomimetic Dentistry through both direct and indirect restorative procedures, emphasizing the integration of adhesive principles and the biomechanical behavior of natural teeth.
